1099 Express is Network Ready

To use 1099 Express on a network it is necessary to set up a shared data folder on the server (or any computer on your network). The shared folder must have full read, write and modify permissions set for everybody. The other computers on the network (that wish to access the shared data folder) must have the shared folder mapped to their computer (tools, map network drive). This is very simple and routine procedure for any network.

The 1099 Express program must then be installed and activated on each computer that will be accessing the shared data folder. The program itself can not be installed on the server. Each computer can access any file in the shared folder, but never allow two people to access the same data file at the same time.

For example, the shared data folder might be called M:\1099Data2007 The following data files might reside in that shared folder:

Acme-1099Misc.src
Acme-1099Interest.src
JonesWarehouse-1099Misc.src
and so on

Then any computer on your network can access and work these file.
