Question: As a Wintitle user, do I have to pay for 1099Express first, or can I test it for free? What if I don't like it?

Answer: About 30 seconds or less to download and install.
Question: OK, so how do I download and install 1099Express?
Answer: Just Click here:

Then choose "Open" or "Run" (not save). The program will install on your computer.
Question: OK, Its installed. That was quick! Can anybody do that?
Answer: Yes, anybody.
Question: How do I start up the 1099Express program?
Answer: After installation, get to your desktop. See the red, white and
blue 1099 Express Icon on your desktop. Just double click it.
Question: I see the blank grid, it looks sort of like Excel. How do I get my Wintitle 1099-S information into 1099Express?
Answer: Click a few buttons inside Wintitle to create the EXPORT file. Then get back to 1099Express. Use the FILE/OPEN MENU to open
your EXPORT file into 1099Express. Detailed instructions can be found by clicking here:

Question: OK that was easy. Do I need to order forms?
Answer: No,
you don't have to order any forms.
Question: How how do I file this information to the IRS? What are my options?
And what is the deadline?
Answer: You can file to the IRS over the internet for free (recommended), or file to the IRS on red-lined pre-printed paper forms. The deadline for paper is February 28,
each year. The deadline for Internet method is March 31. Diskettes are no
longer accepted by the IRS.
Question: I thought you just said no forms were needed?
Answer: If you insist on using pre-printed paper forms, 1099Express will
work just fine! We just think it's easier via the Internet, and there are other
advantages, see below.
Question: I thought you had to have 250 or more forms to use the internet?
Answer: No, you can any of these methods, even if you have only one (1) form.
Question: Then what is the 250 limit deal?
Answer: You can't use paper if you have 250 or more. The IRS may reduce
this limit in the future.
Question: I already printed my 1099-S Substitutes for the recipients, but what if I want to re-print just one form?
Or several forms?
Answer: Start the 1099Express program. Click the HELP/INDEX MENU. Click on Topic No. 6.

Question: I procrastinated too long! Can I get an extension?
Answer: Yes, there is good news! You can get an automatic, guaranteed, no questions asked, extension to file over the internet! The extension is for 30 days until April 30th. But
your 8809 Form must be postmarked or faxed by midnight March 31.
Our Service Bureau can also e-File extension and get a confirmation from the
IRS, but we must file the extension by March 31.
Question: So when do I need to purchase 1099Express?
Answer: Anytime before you file to the IRS, or print forms. You can import and get ready
with the real program in demo mode, but you must have the activation code for printing
or filing to the IRS.

Question: Do I have to start all over again after purchase?
Answer: No, everything you did with the program in demo mode is good to
go. Just file to the IRS after purchase.
Question: What happens if I make a mistake filing to the IRS over the
Internet? Is there a Penalty? I have a fear of this!
Answer: In all these years, we have never, ever, had a customer receive
any penalty for an e-filing error. For example, customers have sent the
wrong file to the IRS. The IRS gives you an AUTOMATIC 45 DAY EXTENSION for any
error like this!
Question: Is it hard to file over the internet?
Answer: No. Its twice as easy as making an airline reservation or a
purchase on E-Bay. Just go to http://Fire.irs.gov
Question: But I want to use paper, Internet only benefits the IRS, why
should I care? Or or be forced to learn something new?
Answer: It benefits you by peace of mind. You get written proof of
delivery, correct format and a Form count total. Both you and the IRS KNOW it
was done! The IRS can never bother you about not filing. Its put to bed. You
will never get a belated penalty notice for failure to file. Written proof is not
available with paper or diskette filing.
Question: I've decided to file to the IRS over the Internet. Don't I need some
type of number?
Answer: Yes. You need a TCC. Its free, easy, and there is no obligation to use
it. To get this number just click the FILE Menu in 1099Express. Then click
"Print Order Form 4419 to get Number". Print the order form, and on-screen
directions. Your number will be available in a few days.
